Navigating The NHS Whilst Having a Family

We had speakers with lived experiences of the challenges that face us as medics wanting to have a family and balance a career whilst role modelling. Yes, you can have both! But maybe not at the same time. The session empowered colleagues with knowledge of paternity and maternity rights to the realities of women in medicine with infertility, miscarriage and childbirth complications. Majority of the audience were not aware of their rights or the financial consequences of having a family whilst working within the NHS. A must do session for all medics from medical student and beyond.
